About Kayla Licata

Kayla Licata was born and raised in south Florida. Since she was a child, she portrayed an interest in science and connecting with others. Along with her passion for healing and fascination for the intricacies of the human body, this inspired her to explore opportunities within the healthcare field. During her college career, she became a certified phlebotomist. In addition, she trained as a medical assistant where her favorite parts were learning from her peers and superiors as well as listening to patient's stories. In August 2022, she earned a bachelor's of science degree in biomedical sciences with a minor in nutrition from the University of South Florida. In the near future, she hopes to further her education and career in healthcare by working towards becoming a physician assistant.
